Minnesota Opera's 2018 Season Gala

Saint Paul Hotel, Promenade Ballroom

The first Saturday in October hosts the party of the year in the opera world.

Known as the biggest opening night party, the 2018 SeasonGala was held on October 6 , themed "La Rondine: From Paris to the French Riviera" to celebrate the Minnesota Opera’s Resident Artist Program and the new Art of Singing Endowment Fund.

With a completely transformed ballroom, featuring specialty turf and custom panorama images of the French Riviera, exquisite fine bone china designed by Monique Lhuillier topped the level of detail chosen to curate this evening. The evening’s look focused on the "dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of opera."

Helmed by Anthony Diaz (and chaired by Mary Lazarus of Vestiges, Inc. and co-chaired by Mary Schrock, former leadership at PACER Center), the 2018 Season Gala is known for its best-dressed socialites, and businesspeople who walk the red carpet showing support for the arts.

Anyone who is anyone is there, and known for making an impact in the music world.

The amazing and inspiring night featured custom cocktails from MN Opera’s new season partner, BĒT Vodka, entertainment from current and past Resident Artists, And this year's guests didn't disappoint, Librettist, Mark Campbell and acclaimed Soprano, Kelly Kaduce surprised Honorary Chair Dale Johnson. The evening went out with a bang with the vocal fireworks of former Resident Artist, Andres Acosta.

So much buzz and great energy.
